Life Currently Vol. 9 | Awesome in Manila
Reading
Tita Amy Tan's The Joy Luck Club. Kind of interested in studying the Chinese family culture.

Watching
Entourage season four! I missed Turtle!

Writing
Nothing apart from this post.

Listening
To Justin Bieber's What Do You Mean? (Also, this version and this version.) There is hope for The Biebs, okay? Also, #Jelena5ever.

Thinking
I can't miss yoga today, and I hope I finally get to run tomorrow.

Smelling
Nothing distinct.

Wishing Missing
1. My dogs! They live in a separate property we own in the same street, since we don't have a room for all five of them rowdy mutts. I haven't dropped by in weeks.

2. Normal sleeping patterns.

Hoping
For an update on something that I really, really want to happen but I can't share with you yet because it might not push through?

Wearing

Loving
1. The weekend! Was all over QC for raket and quality time with my art partners at work, Ynna and Nat. I knew Nat, who is leaving for grad school in the UK this week, would be excited at the thought of visiting a dog cafe so we went to Barkin' Blends in Katipunan as part of her sending away gift.

I have mixed feelings about the cafe's concept. On one hand, I feel that making displays or attractions out of any living thing is inhumane. (Of course I've visited zoos in the past, so it's a little hypocritical.) On the other, I saw that the dogs are very close to the staff, their caretakers and trainers, which proves that they are loved every day.

2. The weekend sermon at church. Borrowing a friend's Facebook status:

Just because someone's not living right
does not mean they've turned away from God.
It's difficult to get away from God.
He fights for your love.
-Pastor David E Sumrall

I led them with cords of human kindness,
with ropes of love." Hosea 11:6

It's not a ticket to consciously stay in a disobedient state, but I find it very comforting to hear as someone who has a master's degree in bad decisions. I've tried to run away from Him so many times, thinking the gravity of my sins disqualify me from His promises, but God always finds a way to let me know that I can come home. That it is always better to follow His will. That there is always hope for me. He's awesome that way, among many other ways.

When you're aware of your own filth, it's hard to make conclusions about other people's relationship with God, no matter who they are or what they do.

Wanting
An iPhone 6S Plus!

Needing
1. Money management skills.

2. To throw away more stuff.

Feeling
Frustrated with myself somehow? But also hopeful for change.
